Here at IDS Coachworks we supply & fit Towbars + Electrics to your vehicle
The Towbars we fit come in a range of different options I.E Fixed Flange, Fixed Swan Neck & Detachable variations
Fixed Flange bars as shown here are mainly used on commercial vehicles where different heights could be needed for taking a tow ball or a universal towing hitch (Ball & Pin)
Another Fixed option is the Fixed Swan Neck Bar. These are more aesthetically please and do not show as much as the fixed flange bars. With the swan bar, it also works with AL-KO Hitches on caravans
The Detachable TowBar allows the neck to be removed. In most fitments (Model Dependant) The Electrics & bar not not visible when not in use. These are amazingly simple to use and a full demonstration will be given by a member of staff when collecting the vehicle
We generally only use Dedicated Electrics which work the vehicle’s onboard electronics, Stability programs and sensors. A dedicated vehicle specific kit allows the towbar and the vehicle to speak to each other and work together, For example if a bulb fails on your trailer or caravan the electrics can alert the vehicle to this
If there is any vehicle coding required with the dedicated electrics this can be done in house by ourselves using our vehicle coding handset. (Subject to manufactures access)
